Caviar has introduced its new "Masters of Time" smartphone series, built on the iPhone 17 Pro Max. The Celestial and Portugieser models are meticulously engineered to house original high-end Swiss watches directly within the chassis of the device. Each smartphone is handcrafted and produced strictly as a single-edition masterpiece (Piece Unique).
Celestial
The back panel is crafted from 18-karat white gold, finished with layered blue cold enamel, and hand-set with top-tier white diamonds (GIA-certified). The lower portion of the panel features a plate of authentic, 4.5-billion-year-old Muonionalusta iron-nickel meteorite, showcasing its distinct, natural Widmanstätten pattern. Integrated into the back of the smartphone is the legendary Patek Philippe Celestial astronomical chronometer (Ref. 6102P-001).
Portugieser
The chassis of this model is crafted from white gold and adorned with intricate hand-engraving. Its precious decoration includes approximately 300 white diamonds and 47 orange sapphires in round and baguette cuts. Integrated into the panel is the rare IWC Portugieser Tourbillon Mystère Squelette skeleton watch (Ref. IW5043-01), measuring 44.2 mm in diameter, featuring an exposed flying tourbillon.
Technical Features and the Watch Vault System
To preserve the complete functionality of the integrated timepieces, Caviar's engineers incorporated the proprietary Watch Vault locking system. This high-precision latch mechanism allows the watch to be removed with a single motion of a lever without any tools, enabling it to be worn traditionally on a strap. When the timepiece is detached, the vacant cavity on the smartphone chassis is covered by a decorative plate (such as a silver cover adorned with an antique astrolabe design for the Celestial model), seamlessly maintaining the device’s visual integrity and ergonomics.
