Detachable Haute Horlogerie calibers integrated into the iPhone chassis

MASTER OF TIME

Astronomical Patek Philippe chronometer, integrated into the body of the iPhone 17 Pro Max for the first time. The watch is attached to the smartphone body and can be removed in a single motion, without tools. Watch Vault technology transforms the iPhone into a personal vault for a timepiece.

The design is inspired by an ancient astrolabe. At the heart of the composition, a miniature celestial sphere comes to life: stars and constellations move in precise alignment with the real sky above the Northern Hemisphere.

Handcrafted from the first sketch to the final facet.

Watch Vault Technology

Patek Philippe Celestial Ref. 6102P-001 is the heart of the composition.

The silhouette of the timepiece is cut into the body to the exact dimensions of the Patek Philippe Celestial Ref. 6102P-001. The inner walls are finished with a soft protective material that shields the watch case from contact with metal.

The timepiece is secured in place. The smartphone and the watch become one object: a wearable vault for a Swiss mechanism.

The ring is crafted from 18-karat white gold and adorned with delicate fluting that echoes the classic bezel design of Swiss chronographs. Around the perimeter, subtle accents mimic the structural assembly screws of luxury watch cases.

The watch is secured with a special locking ring. Its precisely calibrated short-thread mechanism allows the timepiece to be firmly fixed in place with just one turn. Removing it is just as simple: the ring is turned in the opposite direction. The entire process takes only seconds and requires no special tools.

The image is complete. Even without the watch inside, Celestial remains a work of high art thanks to the independent design of the panel.

The ritual of the first touch

The outer case is made of dense designer cardboard in Caviar’s signature blue. The lid features gold embossing and a jewelry element with 24K gold coating, designed in the style of a watch mechanism.

The slipcase opens in two halves, moving apart to reveal the inner case. The gesture is deliberately unhurried, like opening a safe.

Inside is a leather-covered case. Its upper panel is decorated with a three-dimensional element imitating a wave. The tactile response matches the weight and value of what lies within.

The lid opens, and the owner sees Nebosvod for the first time. The smartphone is secured in the upper compartment. The encounter begins.

The documentation and certificate of authenticity are kept in a separate envelope, confirming that this Celestial piece exists as a one-of-a-kind creation.

The wrap for storing the watch strap is made from dark blue Stefania Velukid suede, the very goat suede crafted for Hermès. Dense leather, silky to the touch.

Noble metal with mirror-like purity

The structural elements and ornaments of the back cover are crafted from 18-karat white gold, the benchmark standard used in fine jewelry and high-end watchmaking. This precious metal combines the malleability required for delicate hand engraving with the durability needed to preserve the finest details of the design.

Every element is finished by Caviar’s jewelers by hand: engraved, ground, and polished to a mirror shine. In “Celestial,” 18-karat white gold becomes the material that connects the medieval astronomical tradition — white gold as the alchemical union of the Sun and the Moon — with the modern language of luxury design.

A fragment of space, 4 billion years old

The Celestial composition features a genuine Muonionalusta meteorite, an iron-nickel fragment of an asteroid that fell in northern Scandinavia more than a million years ago. Its age is approximately 4.5 billion years, making it as old as the Solar System itself.

Through a special chemical treatment, the meteorite reveals the Widmanstätten pattern on its surface: a unique crystalline structure that cannot be recreated under terrestrial conditions. Each plate has its own one-of-a-kind pattern, formed by the slow cooling of metal in open space over millions of years. The owner holds not an imitation of the cosmos, but a physical fragment of it.

This technique is over a thousand years old

The deep blue color of “Celestial” is created using cold jewelry enamel, a technique in which the pigmented compound is applied and hardened without high-temperature firing. This makes it possible to work with the finest color transitions and complex graphic elements that are unattainable with hot enamel techniques.

The enamel is applied by hand, layer by layer, with intermediate polishing at each level.

The final shade is achieved only after several cycles of application and curing. Any inaccuracy means starting the process all over again. The finished surface retains its color intensity, resists fading and has an impeccable mirror-like shine, reflecting the starry composition of the body.

The light of the starry sky, captured in stone

The body is adorned with high-clarity VVS diamonds in F color. Their exceptional transparency, free from even the slightest impurities, and the absence of visible flaws ensure a flawless play of light in every facet. Only certified diamonds are used for the body’s setting.

Caviar’s artisans secure each stone by hand under a microscope, one by one. The cut of the stones is selected so that the light playing through their facets visually extends the night-sky pattern of the Patek Philippe dial, uniting the body and the timepiece into a single composition.

Legendary Patek Philippe Timepiece

At the heart of Celestial is the Patek Philippe Ref. 6102P-001 astronomical chronometer from the Grand Complications collection. Introduced in 2012, this model continues the manufacture’s 180-year legacy and is regarded as one of the most outstanding horological creations of the 21st century. Its dial features a rotating miniature celestial sky: stars, constellations and moon phases move in precise alignment with the real night sky above the Northern Hemisphere.

This is a fully mechanical chronometer of the highest class, integrated into a smartphone body by Caviar for the first time in the world. Each time the owner lifts the phone, they see the same vision of the starry sky observed today in the Geneva observatories.

Watchvault Technology

Watch Vault, or the Time Capsule, is a first-of-its-kind technology that allows a timepiece to be secured inside the smartphone body and released in a single motion. No tools, no effort, no risk to the mechanism. The name refers to the vaults of Swiss banks: the same principle of secure fixation, flawless protection and instant access available only to the owner. The chronometer is held by a precision locking mechanism designed for thousands of opening and closing cycles without affecting the watch’s accuracy.

The owner of Celestial decides how to wear the timepiece: on the wrist or on the smartphone. When the chronometer is removed, a decorative astrolabe-inspired panel takes its place, transforming the device into a complete work of art. One device, two ways to wear it, with no compromise in aesthetics.

Handcrafted Mastery

The finest masters of the Caviar atelier work on each single piece of Celestial: jewelers, enamel artists, engravers and engineers. The enamel is applied by hand, layer by layer. Metal surfaces are ground and polished to a mirror shine. Diamonds are set into the body one by one, under a microscope. Every screw is tightened by hand, with no assembly-line solutions. The creation of one device takes weeks.

From the first sketch to the final polish, one principle remains unchanged: uncompromising perfection. This is what sets Nebosvod apart from any serial product. Behind it are not hundreds of identical operations, but hundreds of hours of focused human attention.

Design Concept

The concept is named “Celestial.” At its heart is the image of ancient astrolabes, instruments once used by sailors for centuries to chart their course by the stars. At the center of the composition is the Patek Philippe Celestial dial, a miniature planetarium with a rotating sky chart. Around it, Caviar’s artisans placed ornaments reminiscent of nebulae and luminous rings of the cosmos.

Legend has it that the inspiration was born under the clear night sky of Geneva, the very sky reflected in the Celestial watch. The stars once observed by the great watchmakers of the past now gaze back at the owner from the back of the smartphone. At the client’s request, the composition can be completed with a personal constellation, turning the device into a private story written in the stars.
